The discipline

What is F3B?

Each round scores endurance and a spot landing, as many 150-metre legs as possible, and the fastest possible time over four legs. Results are normalised within the flight groups.

Duration

Within a twelve-minute working window the model is to fly exactly ten minutes and then touch down as close as possible to the landing spot. Deviations in time and landing cost points.

4 min

Distance

In four minutes a 150-metre leg is flown as often as possible. The group has a seven-minute window to adapt launch and tactics to the conditions.

Speed

Four measured legs are flown as fast as possible. Unlike A and B the pilots start one after another; the task must be completed inside a four-minute window.

Competition control for F3B

Start order draw, result entry at the line and scoring to FAI rules, usable offline on a phone, tablet or laptop. The manual explains how a contest day runs. The practice competition lets you rehearse it without consequences: 54 invented entrants in six teams, five groups in the duration task, and it disappears by itself after 48 hours.

Trainingstagebuch

Was du außerhalb eines Wettbewerbs fliegst, an einer Stelle: Zeitflug, Streckenflug, Speedflug — je Flug ein Eintrag, mit Ort, Wind und Wetter. Über eine Saison siehst du deine Streuung statt einzelner guter Tage. Verglichen wird gegen dich selbst; eine Liste über alle Trainierenden gibt es nicht, weil sie ohne gemeinsame Gruppe das Wetter misst und nicht die Piloten.

Als Anwendung zum Ablegen auf dem Startbildschirm — sie läuft ohne Netz, und auf dem Fluggelände ist das der Normalfall. Eingetragen wird gleich nach dem Flug, da weiß man noch, wie der Wind stand; der Abgleich läuft von selbst, sobald wieder Empfang da ist. Die Einträge gehören dir und sind nie öffentlich.
