F1E combines free flight with slope lift. Magnetic or comparable automatic steering keeps the model on course — there is no active radio control.

The discipline

What is F1E?

The aim is the longest possible time in the lift along the slope. The pilot has to choose launch point, trim and weather window so that the model holds the usable lift on its own.
